Position: Project Managers
Location: Winnipeg

Greenridge runs a leading-edge consulting and software development shop. We’ve developed highly successful projects based on Java, Websphere, Microsoft, Oracle, and Opensource technology, from e-groceries, to hardware stores to employee portals. We’ve also developed data warehouses and custom software for more traditional environments using legacy, Java, JSP, ASP, VB.NET, PL/SQL, and C/C++, to name a few.

We are currently seeking experienced project managers to join our consulting and development team. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with challenges and learning opportunities beyond belief.

You are responsible for planning and managing complex software development and/or infrastructure projects ensuring they meet objectives related to strategic plans, business functionality, quality, time and cost. Using project management methodology, you will assess project scope, risks, schedules, budgets and resources. You work well with others and obtain commitment, support their efforts and provide feedback to the members of your project team and your clients. We appreciate your PMP certification and use of PMBOK practices.

Your Challenge:

Working on client sites, this position’s primary purpose is to define the project scope, clearly specify the deliverables, accurately estimate the project duration, effort and cost, create detailed project plans, identify and manage resources across multiple departments, and manage the project execution in order to drive the company’s success.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for all project management related aspects of delivering business applications, including:

• Leading all aspects of project delivery including project scope, deliverables, estimates, detailed project plans and change requests
• Ensuring the success of a project by driving day-to-day operations through the application of sound project management principles and methodologies
• Regular communication of events and project status to project stakeholders
• Performing risk assessment, response planning, and developing mitigation strategies
• Identifying and negotiating changes in project scope that serve to limit scope creep and ensure that projects complete on budget and on time
• Act as the primary liaison between all teams assigned to the project
• Motivating the project team to ensure successful projects completion
• Accurately provide all necessary inputs for project reviews
• Successfully manage a number of projects simultaneously
• Conduct post-mortem reviews
• Willingness to travel is a key requirement of this position
  

Your Experience:

• Minimum of 2-5 years experience as a technology project manager
• Minimum 5 years experience in information systems
• Experience in all aspects of business redesign, organizational and workflow analysis, and change management
• Proven requirements analysis experience
• Process and data modeling experience

• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to deal with situations where information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous
• Solid leadership skills
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task and work to tight timelines
• Intimate knowledge of the software development lifecycle and design methodologies

Your Education: 

• PMP Certification and PMI membership an asset
• University education in computer science, business or accounting would be an asset.
